Which do you think is better: Yeezys or Jordans?
There have always been two brands competing and trying to beat the other one throughout history: McDonald's or Burger King, Coca-Cola or Pepsi, Adidas or Nike... Hence: Yeezys or Jordans? The sneaker culture has been present in the world longer than we think. Back to 1917, Converse created its first basketball shoe, the All Star. It wasn't until the 80s when collecting sneakers became a popular thing. We already saw some "joggers" during the 70s, and regular people wearing these athlete shoes, but the turning point was when Nike signed basketball rookie Michael Jordan in 1985 to an endorsement deal. The $65 shoe surpassed every expectation, beat every previous sale record. But Adidas didn't back off, instead, the hip-hop group "Run DMC" released the song "My Adidas". They had the first endorsement deal made for a music group, and they supported the shoe not being associated with a thug image. That is how both franchises started their venture and long-time rivalry.
